What the difference actually costs you

If 720p30 is enough — and for the large majority of IRL streams on phone data, it is, because a new channel gets no transcodes on Twitch and every viewer has to sustain your source bitrate — the gap is $109 a month. That's $1,308 a year.

Why we can charge this and they can't

This is the part most comparison pages skip, and it's the only part that tells you whether the price will hold.

IRLToolkit — and Streamable, and most of the category — runs a full cloud OBS instance for every user. That's a genuine, permanent cost floor: OBS with software rendering needs roughly four CPU cores per broadcast. It's why nobody in this space has ever offered a free tier, and it's why a $129 price point is a rational business decision on their part rather than a markup.

ATTO's Free, Starter and Plus tiers run a purpose-built rendering pipeline instead of OBS — measured at about 0.93 vCPU for an entire 720p30 broadcast. That's the whole trick, and it's structural. It's also why our Pro tier, which is full OBS because remote OBS access is the point of Pro, costs meaningfully more than Starter.

When you should buy IRLToolkit instead

You need more than 1080p60, or uncapped bitrate. We don't offer it at any price. Their Advanced tier does.
